I finally finished the fingerless mitts that I wrote about earlier. I was having trouble with the gauge, having completely forgotten that the tension would be different in Fair Isle (and possibly when working in the round, too). I fixed that by switching to the needles called for in the pattern. D’oh.

I am working on a pair of Fresco Fair Isle Mitts, by Pam Allen, from the Fall 2008 issue of Interweave Knits. I am using some of the yarn I bought at Rhinebeck (from the Carolina Homespun booth). It’s very nice hand-dyed wool from Hand Jive, called Nature’s Palette Fingering.

Finally, an update! Life has been intruding into my crafting (and blogging) time – how rude!
