Baby Socks and … off to Rhinebeck!

I finished the baby socks on Monday night (Oct. 13/08). They turned out really well. I pulled a whole lot of yarn from the ball before casting on the second sock, in order to get the yarn patterning to match. I’m glad I did, I like the effect.

I have already cast on to knit a matching baby cap.

And tomorrow morning I leave for Rhinebeck, for the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival. I’m taking the train from Toronto – an 11 hour ride that goes directly from Union Station in TO to Rhinecliff station in New York, on Amtrak’s Maple Leaf route. I am looking forward to two days of yarn and fibre, and especially to meeting up with a bunch of friends from Ravelry.

I also have a whole bunch of good books to read on the train, so I should come home with some fodder for new posts to my book blog.

  1. Hi Rho! Rhinebeck was great! Maybe next year you can make it. I am hoping to go again. It was so much fun meeting up with ravelry friends, too.
