About me

Fibre art, quilting, and knitting – just some of what I do when I get to do what I want to do.

I’ve been knitting since childhood, and quilting for about 14 years. I’ve been exploring art quilts, fibre art and mixed media for the last few years, and having a lot of fun. I’ve been known to dabble in other things like spinning, beading and watercolour painting. I love to take pictures, of everything from nature to vacation scenery to snaps of friends.

This blog is a journal of what I’m making, how I made it, and what I hope to make, plus a few odd musings on art, craft, or whatever else seems to fit in here. While not intended to be an instructional blog, I write quite a few how-to posts mainly so I can remember how to do things myself.

  1. I just wanted to thank you for checking out my blog (referred from Lyric Kinard’s blog). I’m really learning a lot by doing these exercises. Why don’t you do them with me? Next week’s is “Unity Through Repetition.” I am really having fun with that one.

Also, I checked out your blog and really enjoyed your ATCs and rail fence. I laughed when I read about how you made the mistake on the rail fence. I’ve done exactly the same thing!
